HONOLULU (AP) - Kevin Ault scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half tolead Southwest Missouri State to an 83-75 victory over Wyoming on Sunday in thethird place game of the Hawaii Pacific Thanksgiving Classic.
Ault was almost perfect on offense as he made 5-of-6 from the floor - 3-of-4from long distance - and 6-for-6 from the foul line. In addition, he had ateam-high eight assists.
Also adding to the Bears' offense, which went 28-for-50 from the floor, wereMatt Rueter and Allen Phillips, who each had 12 points, and William Fonteleroy,who finished with 11.
The game wasn't as close as the final score.
The Bears (3-1) led by five points at the half, 40-35, but a 14-0 run, withfive points coming from Ault and four from Phillips, quickly widened the gap to22 points.
Wyoming (3-2) went on a 17-4 run over the final three minutes to make it arespectable finish. During the stretch, Southwest Missouri was whistled formost of its 25 turnovers.
Anthony Blakes was high for the Cowboys with 17 points.
