LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Brandon Ewing scored 20 points and dished out six assists Wednesday to lead Wyoming to a 78-67 victory over Division II Colorado School of Mines.
The game was an exhibition for the Orediggers, who stayed with Wyoming (5-1) in the first half and led on several occasions.
Wyoming used an 11-2 run to take a 60-49 lead with 9:58 remaining, but Mines rallied with consecutive 3-pointers by Casey O'Hayre and Kyle Pape and a basket by Grant Gunhus to pull within 60-57 with eight minutes to play.
Brad Jones added 14 points and six steals for Wyoming, followed by Okoye with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Spencer with 11 points and six rebounds.
Pape led Colorado Mines with 17 points while Ben Mohr added 12 points and six rebounds. Gunhus finished with 11 points, including a 3-pointer with 3:10 left in the first half to give the Orediggers a 33-31 lead.
Wyoming led 41-38 at halftime.
