BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Alex Dunn's fadeaway 15-footer from the baseline atthe buzzer gave Wyoming a 71-70 victory over Montana State in Saturday's annualBorder War basketball game at MetraPark Arena.
Dunn's shot came on an in-bounds pass with 1.1 seconds remaining and gaveWyoming (4-1) its 11th consecutive victory in the series.
Junior guard Ja'Ron Jefferson hit a 3-pointer from the left wing to give MSU(1-4) a 70-69 lead, its first since the first three minutes of the game. TheBobcats rallied from a 16-point deficit with nine minutes remaining.
Senior guard Jason Straight led Wyoming with 24 points. Jefferson had 19points and junior guard Branden Miller had 18 to lead the Bobcats.
Wyoming played without leading scorer Steve Leven, who sprained his kneeThursday in practice and didn't make the trip. Leven was averaging 20.8 pointsper game.
