LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Justin Williams scored 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had seven blocked shots, as Wyoming routed Division II Colorado-Colorado Springs 105-67 Monday night.
Steve Leven scored 10 points in the first three minutes, including a 4-point play, as Wyoming (4-3) opened with an 18-0 run and never trailed in the game.
Patrick Hannaway scored six points during an 8-2 UCCS (0-4) first-half run that brought the Mountain Lions within 25-11 with 12:38 left. Leo Thomas hit back-to-back 3-pointers for the Mountain Lions later in the period to bring them within 37-23, but Wyoming ended the half on a 22-5 run that put them ahead 59-28 at halftime.
Hannaway's pair of three-pointers during a 9-0 second-half UCCS run made the score 71-42 with 12:49 left, but that was the closest the Mountain Lions would get.
Hannaway led all scorers in the game with 24. He also had 9 rebounds.
Wyoming shot 58 percent from the field, making 40 of 69 attempts, while UCCS made 20 of 58 for 34.5 percent.
