LARAMIE, Wyo. - Josh Davis scored 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to leadWyoming over Mount St. Mary's 83-69 on Tuesday.
It was the second consecutive game that Davis reached double digits inpoints and rebounds and Wyoming was without high-scoring Ugo Udezue, who isnursing a knee injury.
Chris McMillian added 16 for Wyoming (5-2), while Anthony Blakes scored 12and Bradley Mann 11.
Gregory Harris' 20 points led Mount St. Mary's (0-5). Konata Springer had 17points and eight rebounds.
The Mountaineers' 2-3 zone stymied the Cowboys for most of the first half.
Wyoming, which led 33-27 at the half, scored the first six points afterintermission to go up by 11, but the Mountaineers fought back to close to 53-51on two Aaron Herbert free throws at the 8:42 mark.
Wyoming then reeled off six straight points on a short jumper by BrettMcFall, a reverse layup by Blakes and a fast-break layup by Justin French to goup 59-51 with 6:43 left.
Mount St. Mary's did not draw closer than six the rest of the way.
The first half saw three ties and five lead changes before McMillian put theCowboys ahead for good 27-25 with a layup at the 5:15 mark.
McMillian's 3-pointer had erased the Mountaineers' 25-22 lead.
