DENTON, Texas (AP) - Wyoming forward Ugo Udezue scored 31points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds as the Cowboys defeated the University of NorthTexas 87-67.
Wyoming (5-2) led by just a point, 29-28, with 6:28 left in the first half,but outscored the Mean Green 17-8 the rest of the half. LaDarion Jones cappedthe rally with a three-point field goal just before the first-half buzzer togive the Cowboys a 46-36 halftime advantage.
The Cowboys then came out and scored 14 of the first 16 points of the secondhalf to grab a 60-40 lead with 11:16 left in the game. The Mean Green got nocloser than 19 points the rest of the way.
North Texas was led by forward Charles Washington with 19 points and sevenrebounds. Deginald Erskin added 16 points.
Wyoming got 14 points from Jones, 12 points off the bench from Justin Frenchand 10 points apiece from Chris McMillian and Josh Davis.
Wyoming outrebounded North Texas 49-35.
