CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Ugo Udezue scored 23 points, 17 of those in the secondhalf, to lead Wyoming to a 91-73 win over Louisiana Tech in the first game ofthe Cowboy Shootout tournament Sunday.
The second game Sunday night was between Wagner and Yale.
Udezue was one of four players in double figures for host Wyoming. Paced byUdezue, LeDarion Jones with 20 points, Anthony Blakes with 19 and Brad Mannwith 14, the Cowboys blew open their lead in the second half.
Up by 13 at halftime, Wyoming went on an 18-2 run to widen the gap to 62-33with 14:13 left in the game.
Louisiana Tech shot 55 percent in the second, but struggled with turnovers,ending with 28. Wyoming had 17.
Omar Cooper led scoring for Louisiana Tech with 15 points. Kendrick Sprueladded 14, and Lonnie Cooper had 10.
Wyoming shot 53 percent from the field, while Louisiana Tech was 47 percentoverall.
Wyoming (7-2) will play the winner of the Wagner-Yale game Monday.
