LARAMIE, Wyo. - Under head coach Heath Schroyer, hosting an annual clinic for special needs individuals has become tradition for the Wyoming Cowboy basketball program.
The Cowboys held this year's clinic this past Sunday afternoon in the Arena-Auditorium. It marked the third consecutive year that the Pokes have hosted the event.
"This has become a meaningful and important tradition for our program", Schroyer said. "This clinic is a great opportunity for our guys to give back to a very special section of our community. These people are an inspiration for us all and hold a special place in my heart."
The event, which was organized by the Cowboy basketball program, Ark Regional Services of Laramie and Wyoming Special Olympics, gave special needs individuals an opportunity to play with the current Cowboy basketball players. The clinic featured drills that focused on shooting, passing and dribbling, as well as an autograph session with the team.
