The Wyoming Cowboys travel to Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday to play the TCU in the Horned Frogs first Mountain West Conference basketball game. TCU enters Saturday's contest with a 4-10 overall record for the 2005-06 season. Wyoming is 7-7 on the season and 0-1 in MWC play, having lost its conference home opener, 77-88, to UNLV this past Wednesday.

The last time the Cowboys and Horned Frogs played in basketball came in the 1998-99 season. The two teams were also members of the same conference at that time, but it was a different conference - the Western Athletic Conference. That last meeting was on Feb. 11, 1999, also in Fort Worth. TCU won that game 102-85 over the Pokes. The following season, Wyoming and seven other members of the WAC left to form the Mountain West Conference. TCU remained in the WAC one more year after the MWC teams split off. The Horned Frogs then moved to Conference USA for the 2001-02 through 2004-05 seasons.

TCU leads the overall series record against Wyoming, having won three games while UW has won two.

No television coverage is planned for Saturday's game, but the Cowboy Sports Network will broadcast the game on its 25-station radio network beginning at 5:30 p.m., Mountain Time on Saturday.
