LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming men's basketball fans can help #RockTheAztecs on Jan. 14 by attending a pregame concert by Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band in the Arena-Auditorium prior to the Cowboys' Mountain West tilt with San Diego State.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. MT for the concert from 7-7:45 p.m., while the game will tip at 9 p.m. Fans can gain admission to the concert using their ticket to the basketball game and UW students can use their student ID. UW students will receive free pizza and Pepsi products, while a raffle for students during the game includes free textbooks for the spring semester, an Xbox, a new TV, gift certificates and more.
A native of Moorcroft, Wyo., Williams and his Younger Brothers Band have relentlessly toured the West, developing a rabid fan base not seen from the Cowboy State since Chris LeDoux. In fact, Williams and LeDoux are the only two to ride in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo and play its main stage as a major entertainer. Williams was a two-time Wyoming state champion wrestler in high school and went on to earn a total of four degrees from UW.
The Cowboys have claimed a victory over San Diego State in the last two contests in Laramie, as the Aztecs were ranked in the nation's top 15 in both contests. Wyoming leads the all-time series with SDSU, 39-35, including a 26-8 mark in Laramie.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the Wyoming Athletics Ticket Office at 877-WYO-FAN1 (877-996-3261) or online at GoWYO.com.
