The Wyoming Cowboys conclude the non-conference portion of their 2004-05 schedule on Monday night when they host the Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne (IPFW) Mastodons.
Wyoming enters the game with a 7-6 record 0-1 in Mountain West Conference play. IPFW is 3-12 as an NCAA Division I independent. It is only the second meeting between the two schools. Wyoming won the previous meeting on Dec. 12, 2002, by a score of 73-62 in Laramie, Wyo.
The Cowboys are 7-5 in non-conference games this season, and have posted a 5-1 home record versus non-conference opponents.
Wyoming seniors Alex Dunn and Jay Straight have both been on a roll recently. Dunn has posted back-to-back double-doubles in scoring and rebounding versus Denver and New Mexico. Dunn had 15 points and 11 rebounds vs. Denver and tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds at New Mexico. Straight has scored 20 or more points in each of the last three games. He scored 26 at Southern Illinois, had 21 versus Denver and tallied 20 at New Mexico.
Monday's game against IPFW will tip off at 7 p.m. There is no television coverage of Monday's contest.
The Cowboys return to Mountain West Conference play this coming Saturday when they host Utah in a game to tip off at 4 p.m.
