Wyoming Looking for Third Conference Road Win of Season on Saturday

When the Wyoming Cowboys return to the road this Saturday at Air Force, they will be looking for their third conference road win of the season. UW is 2-2 in Mountain West Conference road games this season. Wyoming has won at TCU (68-64) and Colorado State (72-67). The Pokes have lost at BYU (67-80) and at UNLV (54-66).

The Wyoming versus Air Force game is scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m. on Saturday from Clune Arena on the Air Force Academy campus. The game will be televised by SportsWest TV, and will be carried live in the state of Wyoming on KTWO-TV of Casper, Wyo. The game will also be available on a subscription basis on ESPN FullCourt.

The Cowboys are 12-11 overall this season, and bring a 5-5 Mountain West Conference mark into Saturday's meeting with the Falcons. Air Force is 18-5 overall, but is just one game ahead of the Cowboys in conference play, with a 6-4 MWC record. UW is tied with New Mexico for fifth place in the conference race. Air Force is tied with Brigham Young for third place.

UW won the first meeting against the Falcons earlier this season in Laramie by a 55-50 score. The Pokes lead the overall series against Air Force, 66-22 (.750). Wyoming also leads in the Mountain West Conference series 10-4. In recent meetings, UW has won 10 of the last 13 meetings and two of the last three. Air Force has won the last two contests played in Colorado Springs. The last time Wyoming won at Air Force was Feb. 17, 2003, by a final score of 64-57.

The Cowboy Sports Network will carry Saturday's game live on radio beginning at 3:30 p.m., Mountain Time with the pregame show. Dave Walsh and Kevin McKinney will describe the action on the 25-affiliate network.

Wyoming's next game will be on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in "The Pit" in Albuquerque against the New Mexico Lobos. That game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. There is no television coverage planned for the Wyoming at New Mexico game.
