After three straight close losses for the Wyoming Cowboy basketball team, the Pokes will look to bounce back this Saturday afternoon when they host the TCU Horned Frogs. The game, which will be televised by The Mtn., is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. (MT).

A Look at the Matchup with TCU:
The Cowboys will enter Saturday's game with an 8-16 overall record and a 1-9 mark in the Mountain West Conference. TCU is currently 10-15 overall and has an identical 1-9 conference record. When these two teams met earlier this season, TCU beat an injury-plagued Wyoming squad 78-60 in Fort Worth, Texas. The Pokes played that game with just eight players due to injuries.

    Each Team's Leaders:
Leading the Cowboys this season is sophomore Desmar Jackson. Jackson recently became the seventh best scorer in Wyoming history through a freshman and sophomore season and has scored 713 points thus far in his career. He is also ranked among the best scorers, rebounders and steal artists in the MWC this season. He ranks fifth in the league in scoring (15.1 ppg), is tied for 16th in rebounding (4.7 rpg) and ranks second in steals (2.26 spg). He is one of only three players to rank in all three statistical categories.

Fellow sophomore Amath M'Baye has been especially hot for the Cowboys as of late. He has scored in double figures in six of UW's last eight games and matched his career high with 19 points at New Mexico on Wednesday night. M'Baye is averaging 10.7 points a game and is the MWC's ninth best rebounder and shot blocker with respective averages of 5.4 and 0.8.

TCU's top player Ronnie Moss, who was averaging 15.7 points a game, has been suspended indefinitely and won't play in Saturday's game. The Frogs' roster features two other players who are averaging double figures in scoring. Sophomore forward Garlon Green is averaging 11.7 points and junior guard Hank Thorns is averaging 10.3 points a game. Thorns leads the MWC in assists with 6.5 per game. Junior J.R. Cadot leads the Frogs in rebounding with 5.7 per game, which is the seventh best average in the MWC.

Cowboys Trail 9-7 in the All-Time Series with TCU:
Wyoming trails the all-time series with TCU by two games, 9-7. In games played in Laramie, the Cowboys are 5-1, but in games played in Fort Worth the Pokes are 1-7. TCU's only win in Laramie came almost a year ago to the day, 76-68 on Feb. 13, 2010.

Francisco Cruz Ranks Second in the MWC in Minutes Played in League Games, Has Played All 40 Minutes Five Times:
Junior Francisco Cruz has seen a lot of playing time since the Cowboys began MWC play. In fact, he is ranked second in the league in minutes played during conference games with an average of 37.10 minutes a game. He is second behind BYU's Jimmer Fredette, who is averaging 37.30 minutes a game.

Cruz has played all 40 minutes five times--vs. New Mexico, at TCU, vs. UNLV, vs. BYU and vs. Colorado State. He also played 39 minutes vs. Utah.
