This Tuesday night the Wyoming Cowboy basketball team will take the Arena-Auditorium floor for the final time this season, as they host the No. 9 ranked San Diego State Aztecs. The game will begin at 8 p.m. (Mountain Time) and will be televised by The Mtn.

Djibril Thiam's Senior Night:
Tuesday will be a special night for the Cowboys' only senior, Djibril Thiam. Thiam will be honored prior to the start of the game.

During his two and a half-year career, Thiam has more than made his mark on the Cowboy basketball program. He has averaged 8.3 points and 5.1 rebounds during his career, and is currently ranked No. 8 in school history in career blocked shots. He has scored in double figures 32 times, has posted four double-doubles and has eclipsed the 20-point mark once in his career.

A Look at the Matchup with San Diego State:
The Wyoming Cowboys enter Tuesday's game with a 10-18 overall record and 3-11 mark in the Mountain West Conference. The Pokes have posted a 10-6 record at home this season.

San Diego State, who is currently ranked No. 9 in both national polls, is 27-2 overall and 12-2 in the MWC. They suffered their second loss of the season this past Saturday to No. 3 ranked BYU, who has handed the Aztecs both of their losses this season.

San Diego State won the first meeting of the season with the Cowboys, 96-57, in San Diego back on Jan. 29.

Cowboys at Home Against the Top 25:
The Cowboys have posted a 6-3 record at home against the last nine nationally-ranked opponents to play in the Double A. The Pokes had won six straight home games over top-25 ranked teams between 1994 and 2000. They have since dropped three straight home games against top-25 teams.

Each Team's Leaders:
Sophomore Amath M'Baye has been outstanding for Cowboys over the past five games, as he has averaged 21.0 points a game during that stretch. Last week he posted a 27-point game against Air Force and then a 24-point game at UNLV, marking the 10th time he has reached double figures over UW's last 12 games.

M'Baye teams with Desmar Jackson to form the best pair of sophomores in the MWC. Among all underclassmen in the conference, Jackson is ranked as the second best scorer (14.8 ppg) and the fifth best rebounder (4.9 rpg), while M'Baye is the fourth best scorer (12.3 ppg) and the third best rebounder (5.6 rpg).

San Diego State's lineup features three players who are averaging double figures in scoring. They are led by the top big man in the MWC, sophomore Kawhi Leonard. Leonard leads the league in rebounding (10.8 rpg) and ranks No. 4 in scoring (15.3 ppg). Senior guard D.J. Gay is averaging 11.9 points a game and leads the Aztecs in assists with 3.4 per contest. Senior forward Malcolm Thomas is adding 11.5 points and 8.3 rebounds a game.

Home Team Has Dominated the Wyoming-San Diego State Series:
In the history of Wyoming-San Diego State basketball, the home team has dominated the series. The Cowboys are 24-6 in Laramie and San Diego State is 20-11 in San Diego. This has especially been the case recently as the home team has won five straight games. Wyoming leads the overall series 37-31.
