LARAMIE, Wyo. -

Wyoming Cowboy basketball player Adam Waddell is scheduled to appear on The Today Show on NBC this Tuesday morning between 7:30-8 a.m. (MT). Waddell will appear live on the popular national morning television show, which is filmed from their studio on the corner of 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan, N.Y.

The Today Show is aired live on the East Coast but tape delayed to all other time zones. Waddell and Wyoming head coach Heath Schroyer left Laramie Monday morning to travel to New York City for Tuesday's appearance.

Waddell, a redshirt freshman from Cody, Wyo., has received a great deal of media attention following his break-away dunk and subsequent flip in the second half of Wyoming's game with Northeastern in the College Basketball Invitational last Tuesday.

Wyoming's starting center, Waddell closed out the 2008-09 season averaging 5.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.64 blocked shots per game. He started 24 games on the year and scored in double-figures five times. In the CBI first round, Waddell scored 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds.

The Today Show is co-anchored by Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira. Ann Curry is the show's news anchor and Al Roker reports on the weather.
