The Mountain West Conference released the television portion of its 2006-07 men's basketball schedule on Thursday. The Wyoming Cowboys will be featured on 14 telecasts, including two broadcasts on CSTV (College Sports Television) and 12 telecats on "the mtn." (The Mountain West Sports Network).
The two CSTV telecasts of Cowboy games will be Wed., Jan. 10 in Laramie against UNLV, and on Tue., Jan. 30 in Albuquerque, N.M., versus the New Mexico Lobos.
Of the 12 Wyoming games to be telecast on "the mtn.", six are home games and six are on the road. The first Cowboy telecast on "the mtn." will be a non-conference game in Laramie against Boise State on Sat., Nov. 11. Other Wyoming home games to be featured on "the mtn." will include: Air Force (Sat., Jan. 13); BYU (Tue., Feb. 6); San Diego State (Sat., Feb. 17); Utah (Wed., Feb. 21); and New Mexico (Sat., March 3).
Cowboy road games televised on "the mtn." will be: at BYU (Tue., Jan. 16); at Utah (Sat., Jan. 20); at Air Force (Sat., Feb. 3); at UNLV (Sat., Feb. 10); at Colorado State (Sat., Feb. 24); and at TCU (Wed., Feb. 28).
All total, 99 Mountain West Conference men's basketball games will be televised during the 2006-07 season, including 65 of the 72 conference matchups and all eight MWC Tournament games.
Of the 99 total televised games, 75 will be carried by "the mtn." (Mountain West Sports Network), 17 by CSTV (College Sports Television) and seven by Versus (currently OLN).
