The Mountain West Conference announced today the 2008-09 men's and women's basketball broadcast schedule, which includes unprecedented coverage on national television.
Games will be shown on the The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network, CBS College Sports Network (CBS C) and VERSUS.
Now in its third year, The Mtn. was the first 24-hour sports network devoted exclusively to a single conference. In addition to live game coverage, fans get a comprehensive array of news, features, and analysis about their favorite MWC teams and players. The Mtn.'s anchors and reporters provide viewers with extensive pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage, and weekly and seasonal analysis and wrap-ups. The Mtn. also takes fans off the court and behind the scenes with coverage of the latest stats, press conferences, coaching developments, student-athlete features and more.
Currently, The Mtn. is carried nationally by DIRECTV (Channel 616) and 29 cable operators representing over 200 municipalities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. CBS College Sports Network (Channel 613) and VERSUS (Channel 603) are also available nationally on DIRECTV.
