Cowboy Hoop Preview Set For Saturday

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

If you are anxious to sneek a peekat Steve McClain's 2000-2001 Wyoming basketball team, your chance is comingSaturday following the Cowboy-Air Force football game.

Practice officially begins for the Cowboys Saturday morning, andMcClain has invited fans to either the first official workout of the year at11 a.m., or a half-hour scrimmage scheduled for after the game from 4:30p.m., until 5 p.m., in the Arena-Auditorium. An autograph session with theCowboy players and coaches is scheduled following the scrimmage. Scheduleposters will be available for fans to obtain autographs. There is nocharge.

"We're excited about our upcoming season," McClain said, "and wethought a small scrimmage after the football game might give more fans achance to see our newest Cowboys. "It will be informal, and certainly not aspolished as it will be, but everyone can at least become familiar with ournew players."

In addition to the scrimmage and autograph session, fans may takeadvantage of a "select-a-seat" promotion offered by the University AthleticsTicket Office. The staff from the ticket office will have available seatsmarked throughout the Double A. Fans may chose their season seats from thosemarked as available. The Arena-Auditorium ticket office will be open, andthe staff will be on hand to help with questions, and to take ticket orders.
