Game times for the upcoming Cancun Challenge basketball tournament, in which the Wyoming Cowboys will compete, were recently announced for the games that will be played in Cancun, Mexico.
The Cowboys will open the event against Missouri on Tue., Nov. 23. That game time has been set for 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
In the second round of the tournament on Wed., Nov. 24, the Cowboys will play either LaSalle or Providence depending on results of the first day. If the Pokes win their opening game, they will play at 7:30 p.m. (MT) and if they lose they will play at 5 p.m. (MT).
The Cancun Challenge will be played at the Aventura Spa and Cove Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. There are two divisions in the event, the Mayan and Riviera. The Cowboys are in the Riviera Division with Missouri, LaSalle and Providence. The Mayan Division will feature Morgan State, North Florida, Prairie View A&M and Western Illinois.
The Cowboys will also play two United States based games in Laramie before traveling to Cancun. They will host North Florida on Thurs., Nov. 18 and Western Illinois on Sat., Nov. 20. Both of those games will begin at 7 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.
