Notes From This Week in Cowboy Basketball: In case you missed it, here aresome notes from last week in Wyoming Basketball.
*Wyoming extended its home winning streak to seven games with itswin Monday over Denver, 70-55. The home winning streak dates back to lastseason.
*The Cowboys were being outrebounded by Denver by eight rebounds athalftime, but came back in the second half and outrebouded Denver by 10 topost a 55 to 53 advantage for the game.
*Wyoming scored the first 16 points of the second half against DU tobuild a 43-26 lead, after leading by only one, 27-26, at halftime.
*Wyoming's defense was outstanding, against Denver, holding DU to31.0 percent shooting from the field, blocking nine shots and forcing 21turnovers.
*Wyoming is now 26-3 (.897) at home in the Steve McClain era.
*Wyoming has now defeated 14 consecutive non-conference opponents inLaramie in the McClain era andholds a 14-1 (.933) record vs. non-conference opponents at home. The onlynon-conference home loss by UWin the McClain era was vs. Denver on Nov. 17, 1998, by a score of 82-86.That was McClain's first game as UW head coach.
*Steve McClain has posted a 23-8 (.742) record versus non-conferenceopponents while at Wyoming.
*Uche Nsonwu-Amadi recorded the first double-double of the seasonfor the Cowboys with 16 points and 13 rebounds against the DU Pioneers. Itwas the second consecutive game that he had double figures in rebounding.
*Chris McMillian started his 61st consecutive game in the win overDenver on Nov. 27. McMillian has started every game of his college career.
*Juniors Josh Davis and Chris McMillian have now started 39consecutive games together, dating back to Feb. 16, 1999, of their freshmanseason against Texas Pan-American.
*Josh Davis, Chris McMillian and Marcus Bailey have now started 28consecutive games together, dating back to Dec. 4, 1999, against Nevada.
*The Wyoming Cowboys have enjoyed a very balanced attack throughtheir first two games of the season. Wyoming has had six different playersscore in double figures (Marcus Bailey, Josh Davis, Brett McFall, ChrisMcMillian, Ronell Mingo and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi).
*Marcus Bailey scored in double figures for the 14th time in 33career games with his 16 points vs. Denver.
*Brett McFall scored in double figures for the 19th time in 86career games with his 10 points against Denver.
*Uche Nsonwu-Amadi scored in double figures for the first time inhis two career games at UW.

Cowboys Bring Seven-Game Home Winning Streak Into Creighton Game: TheWyoming Cowboys ended the 1999-2000 season with a five-game winning streak.Wyoming defeated San Diego State, UNLV, Air Force, BYU and Utah in its lastfive home games of the '99-2000 season.

The Cowboys have begun the 2000-01 season with two home victories tostretch their home winning streak to seven games.

Wyoming vs. Creighton Matchup Features Two Teams Getting Votes in theNational Polls: Both the Wyoming Cowboys and Creighton Bluejays will enterthis Friday's game receiving votes in the national polls.

Wyoming received five points in this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches'Poll, which places the Cowboys No. 55. In the Associated Press Media Poll,Wyoming received 7 points this week to Tie for No. 42.

Creighton received 16 points in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Pollthis week to rank No. 36. The Bluejays didn't receive any votes in the inthe Associated Press poll.

Starting Balance: Entering this week, Wyoming has enjoyed amazing balancefrom its five starters. In fact if starters Ronell Mingo and ChrisMcMillian each had one more point to their credit, all five starters wouldbe averaging in double figures for scoring. Mingo and McMillian each have19 points in two games, if they each had 20 points they would be averaging10 points per game and would join fellow starters Marcus Bailey, Josh Davisand Uche Nsonwu-Amadi in double digits for scoring.

Creighton University 2000-01 Schedule/Results: The Creighton Bluejays haveplayed four games prior to traveling to Laramie, Wyo., to face the Cowboys.

Creighton defeated Western Illinois in Omaha, Neb., and won two ofthree games at the Mountain Energy Thanksgiving Tournament in Kansas City,hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Here are Creighton'sresults to date.

Montana State 2000-01 Schedule/Results: The Montana State Bobcats haveplayed five games prior to facing Wyoming at the neutral site the MetraArena in Billings, Mont.

Montana State is 1-1 at neutral sites this season, having lost to Oklahoma76-84 at the Hawai'i-Hilo Big Island Tournament on Nov. 24 before defeatingSan Francisco 71-66 also at the Hawai'i-Hilo on Nov. 26.MSU's other wins were over Hawai'i-Hilo 100-79 on the road on Nov. 25 andover Western Illinois 79-60 in Bozeman to open the season. The Bobcats lostat Nevada 62-79 on Nov. 20.
