LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The Wyoming Cowboy basketball team goes on the road for the first time this season as they travel to Pullman, Wash., to play the Washington State Cougars on Wednesday night, Nov. 30. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m., Mountain Time (7 p.m., Pacific Time).
Wyoming brings a 3-1 record into Wednesday's contest. Washington State is 2-1. The two teams have played only four previous times in the two schools' histories. Wyoming has won all four previous meetings in Laramie, including a 49-47 victory last year on Dec. 22. This year's meeting will be the first time that the Cowboys have played the Cougars in Pullman.
During the eight seasons Steve McClain has been head coach at Wyoming, the Pokes have played at least one Pacific-10 Conference opponent each season. In the eight seasons under McClain, UW has never lost to a PAC-10 team in games played in the state of Wyoming, but has yet to gain a victory over a PAC-10 team on the road.
The game will be broadcast live on radio on the 25-station Cowboy Sports Network. The broadcast will begin one-half hour before tipoff. There is no television coverage of the game.
Wyoming will return home to host two games this coming weekend. UW plays host to Southern Illinois on Saturday, Dec. 3 in a 2:00 p.m. game. The SIU Salukis have appeared in the last four consecutive NCAA Tournaments and have captured the last four consecutive Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles.
On Monday, Dec. 5, Wyoming will face the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in a game set to begin at 7 p.m. from Wyoming's Arena-Auditorium.
