Steve McClain will take his Wyoming Cowboy Basketball team on the road versus an Ivy League team for the first time in the 101 seasons of Wyoming Basketball when the Cowboys play at Princeton on Saturday, Dec. 10. Saturday's game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m., Mountain Time (7:30 p.m. Eastern Time) in Princeton's Jadwin Gymnasium.

Wyoming has played only three previous games versus Ivy League schools, with all three of those games being played in the state of Wyoming. The most recent meeting against an Ivy League member was one year ago when the Pokes defeated Princeton 64-57 in double overtime in Laramie, Wyo. UW hosted Dartmouth on New Year's Eve 1998, defeating Dartmouth 76-47. The only other time Wyoming has played an Ivy League school was on Dec. 27, 1987, in Casper, Wyo., when Columbia University lost to UW 92-56 in the opening round of the 1987 Cowboy Shootout.

The Cowboys enter Saturday's game with a 4-3 record. Princeton is 1-4 on the season.

While Wyoming will only be playing Princeton for the second time, McClain and his Cowboys have faced Princeton head coach Joe Scott 10 previous times - nine times when he was the head coach at Air Force and last year's meeting vs. Princeton. The Pokes have won eight of the previous 10 meetings, including winning three overtime games versus Scott's teams.

No television coverage is planned for Saturday's game at Princeton, but the game will be broadcast on radio by the Cowboy Sports Network. The pregame show begins one-half hour before tip off.
