The 9-1 Cowboy basketball team, which is off to its best start since the 1990-91 season, will travel to Los Angeles, Calif. this Tuesday to take on UCLA. The Cowboys and Bruins will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) at Pauley Pavilion.

The Cowboys enter Tuesday's game on a four-game winning streak. Their roster not only features the top scorer in the Mountain West Conference, it also features the league's top rebounder, top assist man and top three-point shooter.
Redshirt freshman Afam Muojeke is currently leading the MWC in scoring with 18.6 points per game. Senior Tyson Johnson is the league's leading rebounder (9.5 rpg), senior Brandon Ewing leads the MWC in assists (6.40 apg) and redshirt senior Sean Ogirri leads the MWC in three-point field goals per game (3.80).
Ogirri, the current MWC Player of the Week, has scored 51 points in UW's last two games. That total includes a career high 26 against Western State and 25 against Sacramento State. He hit seven three-pointers in each of those games.
UCLA, which is off to an 8-2 start, is currently ranked 10th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll and 13th in the Associated Press Poll. They have reached the Final Four in each of the past three seasons and have also won the last three Pac-10 regular season championships.
This game will be the seventh between UCLA and Wyoming on the basketball floor. Of those six previous meetings, two have come in the NCAA Tournament.
The most recent meeting between the Cowboys and Bruins was in the second round of the 1987 NCAA Tournament. Behind Fennis Dembo's 41 points, nine rebounds and six assists, the Cowboys out-dueled UCLA 78-68 to advance to the Sweet 16. In addition to Dembo's 41 points, Eric Leckner added 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Cowboys. UCLA was led by Reggie Miller, who scored 24 points and had nine rebounds.
Following Tuesday's game, the Cowboys will return to action on Dec. 29. The Pokes will play in the Utah State Duel in the Desert from Dec. 29-31. In the tournament, they will face Houston Baptist, Howard and Utah State.
