Dec. 23, 2015

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Wyoming’s Josh Adams has been named to the all-tournament team for the 2015 Global Sports Classic, the organization announced late Tuesday night.

The Cowboys went 1-3 in the tournament despite the best efforts of Adams. The senior guard averaged 31.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in the four contests, while shooting 47 percent from the field, 47 percent beyond the arc and 90 percent at the free-throw line. He added four blocks and four steals in the contests.

Adams scored more than 30 in each of Wyoming’s last three games, including a career-high 37 points and 10 rebounds against Marshall, to become the first Cowboy with 30 or more in three-straight games since at least 1999.

The Pokes are now off for the holidays, before opening Mountain West play on Dec. 30 at San Diego State. Tip is set for 8 p.m. MT in Viejas Arena.
