Marcell Gipson

What are some NFL players that you look up to?
"Some players that I look up to would be Champ Bailey and Darrelle Revis. I feel like we have similar styles."

Where else were you recruited and what made you choose Wyoming?
"I was recruited by CSU, New Mexico, Kansas, and Colorado. I chose Wyoming because I felt it was a place I could play right away."

What is it like playing alongside your brother Tashaun?
"It's a great experience playing with him; we help each other out a lot."

If you could compete in one other sport besides football, what would it be and why?
"My second favorite sport is basketball, and I was pretty good in high school, so that would have to be it."

What Poke receiver brings out the best in you during practice?
"David Leonard."

What would fans be surprised to know about the Cowboy Football team?
"Fans will be surprised about how much work and dedication each player puts into the program."

How do you feel about helmet-to-helmet hits and have you ever experienced one?
"I actually have never experienced a helmet-to-helmet hit before, but I understand them cracking down. It's for the player's safety."

What is your favorite class you have taken at UW? Favorite teacher?
"Favorite class...Juvenile Delinquency. I have two favorite professors, Carey Heck and Scott Culhane."

In your opinion, what team in the Mountain West Conference has the best play action?
"Air Force, because it's always surprising."

Besides War Memorial Stadium, where is your favorite place to play and why?
"I have only played there once, but there is nothing like playing at the University of Texas."

What makes you blush?
"Lol, a question like this, but probably when a young lady gives me a compliment."

What are your plans for after you graduate?
"Get a job."

After this season, what will you miss most about being a member of the Cowboy Football team?
"Playing with my teammates."

As a senior, is there any advice or knowledge that you want to leave with your team when you leave?
"Enjoy being in college because time will go by fast."
