George Matsakis

George Matsakis begins his second year at the University of Wyoming. Matsakis handles a variety of administrative duties for the Cowboy Football program, as well as serving as the video coordinator.

A 1991 graduate of Kansas State with a degree in communications, Matsakis was a member of the Wildcat football team from 1988-91. Following graduation, he served as a student assistant coach at his alma mater in 1992, before being elevated to the position of assistant video coordinator / quality control -- a position he held from 1993-96.

Matsakis is co-founder of the American Football Quarterly. He is also a member of the American Football Coaches Association and the Collegiate Sports Video Association. Born April 1, 1971, in Bellaire, Ohio. His brother Manny is the head football coach at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan.
