ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -
The Wyoming Cowboy football team (2-4, 0-3) lost a Mountain West Conference match-up with the New Mexico Lobos 24-0 on Saturday night in Albuquerque.
The Lobos (3-3, 1-1) returned a tipped pass for a touchdown on the very first play of the game, racked up 317 yards rushing and rolled to an easy victory.
Rain hampered play on and off during the night, limiting both teams to a combined 104 passing yards (Wyoming 71, New Mexico 33).
Seniors Devin Moore and Wynel Seldon both ran the ball hard for the 'Pokes, but could never break free as the Lobo defense keyed on UW's running game. Moore rushed for 74 yards, while Seldon ran for 46.
Cowboy junior Jesson Salyards was the lone highlight in Wyoming's passing game, as he caught four passes for 47 yards.
