LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Casey Bramlet threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns asWyoming snapped a 13-game road-losing streak with a 48-21 victory over UtahState on Saturday night.
The Cowboys' last win away from home came on Sept. 22, 2001, when theydefeated USU 43-42.
Derek Armah had 22 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns for Wyoming(2-4), which never trailed the Aggies (1-5). This was the Cowboys' first winsince defeating Montana State in the season opener on Aug. 30.
Bramlet's final touchdown pass of the evening, a 62-yarder to JovonBouknight with 9:29 to go in the fourth quarter, capped the game's scoring andprompted many of USU's fans to head for the exits.
The Aggies had a chance to make a game of it with under five minutes to goin the third quarter trailing 34-21 and driving. However, Wyoming's defensestiffened on its own 36 when Brandon Casavan and Austin Hall stopped USUrunning back David Fiefia for no gain on consecutive third- and fourth-downplays. The Aggies only needed to pick up 1 yard to keep the drive going.
The Cowboys scored touchdowns on each of their first four drives of thefirst half to open a 28-7 lead with 9:59 remaining in the second quarter.
Wyoming took its biggest lead of the game when Deric Yaussi kicked a 23-yardfield goal with 57 seconds left until halftime.
Following Yaussi's field goal, USU took over on its own 35 and marched 65yards on three plays. Cox's 6-yard touchdown run, in which he ran untouchedinto the end zone, capped the 17-second drive to cut the Cowboys' lead to 31-14at halftime.
Cox completed 16-of-35 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown. The Aggies'Chris Cooley returned to the lineup after missing two games with a stressfracture in his foot, which he injured against Arizona State on Sept. 13.Cooley had five receptions for 72 yards.
