Wyoming will open the 2000 footballseason at Auburn before a national television audience, on Thursday, August31 as part of ESPN's Thursday Night Football series.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. (MT) at Jordan-HareStadium. Wyoming and Auburn were originally scheduled to play on Sept. 2,but the game was moved for the Thursday special.
"We're excited about opening the season on national television,"Wyoming Head Coach Vic Koenning said. "It will be an excellent opportunityfor our football team to receive national exposure against a strong nationalopponent like Auburn."
"We're looking forward to a great year with excellent exposure forour program," said Lee Moon, UW Athletics Director. "There is a chance thatas many as nine or ten of our games will be on television."
