The University of Wyoming coaching staff wrapped up its 2004 recruiting class with its 25th signee, and what a signee it is. First Team Junior College All-American John Wadkowski of Ventura Community College in Ventura, Calif., has signed a national letter of intent with the Cowboys.

In addition to Wadkowski's signing, UW continued to get a head start on its 2005 signing class, inking its third gray shirt in Evan Weatherspoon of Gahr High School in Cerritos, Calif. University of Wyoming head football coach Joe Glenn announced both signings on Tuesday.

Wadkowski will be a junior when he enrolls at UW in the fall of 2004. With the signing of Wadkowski, the Cowboys have signed 25 student-athletes in the 2004 signing class, that is the maximum they could sign this season.

Weatherspoon is the third high-school student-athlete to sign a letter of intent as a gray shirt for the Cowboy Football program. A gray shirt signee agrees to wait and receive his scholarship until the following January. By waiting to go on scholarship in January of 2005, Weatherspoon will count toward the 2005 UW recruiting class.
