LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming football fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to one of the great settings in college football when tickets go on sale in June for Wyoming's 2010 road game at the University of Texas. Wyoming will travel to Austin, Texas, to face the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010. Costs for tickets to the Wyoming-Texas game are $70 per ticket.
Tickets to the 2010 Wyoming-Texas game will be offered to UW football season-ticket holders beginning Wednesday, June 2. UW football season-ticket holders will be offered a chance to purchase the same number of tickets to the Wyoming at Texas game as they have season tickets to Cowboy Football home games. If a UW season-ticket holder has four season tickets to Wyoming home games, they will be allowed to purchase a maximum of four tickets to the Wyoming-Texas game in Austin.
In order to take advantage of the priority points they've earned in the past, Wyoming season-ticket holders wishing to buy tickets to the Texas game will need to either call the UW Athletics Ticket Office or stop by the office in person to place their order. The UW Athletics Ticket Office numbers are: 800-922-9461 or 307-766-4850. The Ticket Office is located on the west side of the Arena-Auditorium.
Beginning Monday, June 28, if there are tickets still available to the Texas game, they will be offered for sale to the general public through July 30 at the same price of $70 per ticket. General public purchases may be made by calling or stopping by the ticket office or by purchasing on-line at www.WyomingAthletics.com.
After the ticket-sales' period ends for the Texas game on July 30, the Wyoming seat locations for the game at Texas will be allocated. Cowboy Joe Club (CJC) members and UW season-ticket holders, who purchased Texas tickets, will be given the first priority in the Wyoming sections at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium according to their priority-point total and rank, followed by the general public who purchased tickets to the Wyoming at Texas game.
All Wyoming fans are also encouraged to pre-purchase their Official Wyoming Tailgate at Texas tickets. The Wyoming Tailgate function will take place prior to the game in the heart of gameday tailgating just one block from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The tailgate function will be sponsored by the Cowboy Joe Club, UW Alumni Association, Brown & Gold Outlet, Coors Beverage and Infinity Power & Controls, and will feature a Tex-Mex buffet from El Arroyo, Coors Products and a live band. Tickets are available now and cost $20 per person. The price will increase to $30 on gameday. You can contact the UW Athletics Ticket Office or the Cowboy Joe Club (307-766-6242) to order tailgate tickets.
The Cowboy Joe Club has also partnered with New Horizons Travel, the official travel agency of Wyoming Athletics, to offer fans travel packages to Austin.
