June 7, 2001

Season tickets for one of Wyoming'smost attractive home football schedules in years are now on sale, accordingto Athletics Director Lee Moon.

Moon said all single-game tickets will go on sale July 9.

The 2001 home season features old rivals Colorado State (Sept. 29)and Brigham Young (Nov. 10) as well as the most prominent intersectionalteam ever to visit Laramie, Texas A&M (Sept. 6). The home-opener withFurman (Sept. 1), plus Mountain West games with New Mexico (Oct. 6) and UNLV(Oct. 27) round out the impressive slate.

"It's been a long time since the Cowboys had as exciting a homeschedule as this one," Moon said. "Any time Colorado State and BrighamYoung are in town, it's exciting. But add Texas A&M to that mix as well astwo of the up-and-coming teams in the Mountain West (New Mexico and UNLV),and it's a great schedule. The most underrated game of the schedule isFurman. I know a lot of our fans are not familar with that program, butFurman is an outstanding football team. That figures to be an extremelycompetitive opener."

In addition to the general public season ticket which is $108, theCowboys are offering other options. "The Cowboy Combo gives fans anexcellent option," Moon said. "If a fan knows all six games are notpossible to attend, he or she may find that the combo fits them better."The Cowboy Combo offers a three-game package for $45. With the three-gamecombo fans will receive the Furman opener, and the option to choose one gamefrom the New Mexico-UNLV package, and one game from the ColoradoState-Brigham Young package.

Season University Faculty-Staff tickets also are on sale for $93 perseat, Moon said.

The University also is offering a season Family Plan. A popularoption in the past, the Family Plan offers four season tickets for $320.Families will have two single-game options as well. First, the single-gameFamily Value Pack offers discounted tickets to a family of four. TheKnothole section, also a popular option, offers children under the age of 18one general admission ticket for $5. The Knothole is located in the southendzone.
