LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The Mountain West Network (MWN) announced on Tuesday five football games as part of its initial group of games that will be produced by the new Mountain West Network during the 2013 season. Those five games will be streamed live exclusively on the MWN. One of those games will be Wyoming's home game versus Fresno State on Nov. 9. That game is set to kick off at 1 p.m., Mountain Time.
The other four games in the initial package include: San Diego State hosting Eastern Illinois on Aug. 31; UNLV's home game against Central Michigan on Sept. 14; UNLV at Fresno State on Oct. 19; and San Jose State at UNLV on Nov. 2.
The Mountain West Network will also retain the digital streaming rights to the 10 ROOT SPORTS telecasts previously announced by the Mountain West Conference. Digital streams of those 10 games will be made available on the MWN in those areas outside both the ROOT SPORTS Rocky Mountain and ROOT SPORTS Northwest territories, and any additional markets for which the games have been sublicensed to local cable or broadcast networks.
Of those 10 ROOT SPORTS games are five Wyoming games, including: the home opener versus the Idaho Vandals on Saturday, Sept. 7; the Saturday, Oct. 12 Homecoming game vs. New Mexico; the 105th meeting of the "Border War" series versus archrival Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 19; a road game at San Jose State on Saturday, Oct. 26; and a game at Utah State on Saturday, Nov. 30 to conclude the regular season.
