Gerald Abraham, a native of Denver, Colo., will go down as one of the best running backs in Cowboy history. He still has the second-best single-season rushing performance in UW history, rushing for 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns in 1987. He is also the fifth-best career rusher in Cowboy history with 2,278 yards and ranks No. 10 on the Wyoming career rushing touchdown list with 17. During his 1987 senior season, Abraham helped lead the Pokes to a 10-3 record and an appearance in the Holiday Bowl. For his excellent senior season he earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors, and he lettered from 1984-87.
