LARAMIE, Wyo. -
Cowboys and Cheyenne Frontier Days just naturally go together. But Saturday, Cowboys of a different sort--Wyoming Cowboy football players--will be attending the Frontier Days Parade.
In conjunction with Cheyenne's nationally renowned celebration, the University of Wyoming Intercollegiate Athletics Department will be hosting "Cowboys at the Capitol" following the final parade of the week. At a location on the southwest corner of the Wyoming State Capitol grounds, Head Coach Dave Christensen, and members of his New Mexico Bowl Champion football team as well as the UW Spirit Squad will sign autographs and be available for photos with the Bronze Boot after they ride in the parade.
Not only will fans have an opportunity to win an autographed Cowboy football and other UW prizes, but they also will be able to order season tickets to the great 2010 home campaign at a reduced rate. A one-day only offer will give fans a chance to purchase a season ticket at the reduced rate of $170. Tickets must be purchased at the UW location on the Capitol grounds to qualify for the discount. UW ticket-office personnel will be on hand to assist fans.
In addition, KFBC and the Cowboy News Network will be producing a live radio broadcast at the location. JD Harris, well-known radio personality, will host the broadcast.
