LARAMIE, Wyo. -
As the 2003 football season quickly approaches, plans are coming together for a schedule of weekly public events that Wyoming head football coach Joe Glenn will be involved in each week.
KFBC-Radio in Cheyenne will again originate a Radio Coach's Show on Tuesday nights from 7-8 p.m. That show is a call-in show that will also feature players each week. The show will be hosted by Dave Walsh, Voice of the Cowboys, and will be made available to Cowboy Sports Network affiliates. The Radio Coach's Show will be held at the Altitude Chophouse and Brewery, located at 320 South Second Street in Laramie. Wyoming fans are invited to come out and attend the show at Altitude.
Two new weekly events this season are a TV Coach's Show on Sunday nights and a Monday luncheon in the University of Wyoming Student Union.
KTWO-TV of Casper, Wyo., will be hosting a Television Coach's Show during the season that will air at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings, beginning Aug. 31, 2003. Dave Walsh, Coach Glenn and featured players will talk about Wyoming's previous game, as well as look ahead to the next Cowboy opponent. There will not be TV Coach's Shows during the two bye weeks.
The Monday luncheon in the UW Student Union has been created to allow Cowboy fans, UW students, faculty and staff an opportunity to interact more closely with Coach Glenn and his student-athletes. It will be hosted by Dave Walsh and will be held in the basement of the Wyoming Union near the food court. It will run from 12:15-1:00 p.m. each Monday.
Media should contact the UW Sports Information Office, 307-766-2256, for available interview times and conference calls this fall.
