A homegrown Wyomingite from Greybull, Tom Wilkinson was a three-year letterwinner (1963-65) at quarterback for head coach Lloyd Eaton. He broke onto the UW scene in 1963 as a sophomore throwing for 902 yards and a career-best 10 touchdowns. In 1964 as a junior, he became the first Cowboy quarterback to pass for more than 1,000 yards, tallying 1,021 yards on 60 completions and seven touchdowns. As a senior captain in 1965, he backed up his junior season numbers throwing for 1,313 yards on 84 completions and six touchdowns. During his career he posted a perfect 6-0 record against Colorado State and BYU.

Beginning on July 13, we will count down the 50 days to kickoff of the 2012 Wyoming Cowboy football season with a new feature titled "Cowboy Two-A-Days". Each day for 50 days leading up Wyoming's season opener at Texas on Sept. 1, we will feature some of the great Cowboys who wore jersey numbers 1-99 during their playing careers.
