LARAMIE, Wyo. -
For months, Wyoming fans have watched construction progress on the Wildcatter Stadium Club & Suites and on Thursday, Aug. 26 Cowboy fans can see for themselves the beautiful new addition to War Memorial Stadium.
The University of Wyoming Athletics Department will hold a public open house from 5 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 26th. There will be a cash bar and light hors d'oeuvres provided during the open house.
Fans interested in acquiring Wildcatter Stadium Club seats for the 2010 Wyoming Football season will be able to talk with representatives from the Cowboy Joe Club that evening about purchasing club seats. Fans will also be able to select their seat from the remaining club seats that night. Over 70 percent of the 256 club seats have been sold to date.
The limited number of Wildcatter Stadium Club Seats that remain are available for one, three, five and seven-year contracts. A Wildcatter Stadium Club seat costs $2,500 and includes: a 2010 season ticket for Wyoming Football; a gameday all-you-can-eat Altitude Chophouse premium buffet; access to the stadium club two hours prior to kickoff and one hour postgame; private elevator and restroom access; a climate-controlled environment; oversized theatre-style seating; and priority access to rent the Wildcatter Stadium Club for non-gameday events such as weddings, receptions, holiday parties and business meetings.
Cowboy fans will also be able to tour the 12 suites that are featured in the new addition. All suites are sold for the next three seasons, but interested parties may talk to Cowboy Joe Club representatives about being put on a waiting list for future years.
Season-tickets in War Memorial Stadium are also still available and the UW Athletics Ticket Office will have staff available on Thursday night to assist fans who wish to purchase season tickets. During the open house, fans may purchase season tickets at the discounted price of $170 per season ticket, which is a $12 discount off the regular price of $182.
The capacity of the Wildcatter Stadium Club & Suites is 475 people. To accommodate as many people as possible during the open house fans are asked to move through the facility in 15-20 minute periods, so that others don't have to wait for extended periods of time to view the exciting new facility.
The night's event will also be utilized as a soft opening for the facility to make sure everything is functioning properly prior to the 2010 home opener for the Wyoming Football season on Sept. 4 versus Southern Utah. That game will kick off at 7 p.m., Mountain Time.
