LARAMIE, Wyo. - Wyoming Cowboy fans in Cheyenne, Wyo., and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to watch the Cowboy Football team conduct an open practice this coming Saturday, Aug. 24, at Cheyenne Central High School. The event, named "Cowboys in the Capital", will include a practice from 11 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. Fans will be able to meet the Cowboys after practice and get autographs and photographs with the players.
Head coach Dave Christensen and Wyoming Athletics are bringing the football team to Cheyenne as a thank you to loyal fans in southeast Wyoming. There will be a number of activities surrounding the event to entertain fans of all ages. Face painting and inflatable games will be available for children. Free hot dogs and Pepsi products courtesy of Pepsi and Montgomery Broadcasting will be offered to fans. Montgomery Broadcasting will be carrying a live remote broadcast from the event over KFBC AM 1240, the flagship station for the Cowboy Sports Network, and the Brown `N Gold Outlet will have Wyoming merchandise available for sale.
In addition to the football team: Cowboy Joe, the pony; Pistol Pete; and the University of Wyoming cheer squad will all be in attendance.
Since the Cowboys will be available for autographs and photographs after the practice, the Cowboys ask that you not shoot any photos or video during the practice.
