Patrick Chukwurah is one of the best rushing linebackers to dawn the brown and gold. The Irving, Texas product played four seasons for the Cowboys from 1997 to 2000 and put his name in the UW record books in three separate categories. As a senior captain during 2000, he set the UW single-season record with 19 tackles-for-loss. His 19 career TFLs is also tied for eighth on the career list. Chukwurah also recorded 27 sacks during his career. His first two seasons he helped lead the Cowboys to back-to-back eight-win seasons. His junior and senior seasons of 1999 and 2000, Chukwurah earned First Team All-Mountain West honors. Following his Cowboy career he was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He went on to play eight seasons in the NFL with, the Vikings, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
