LARAMIE, Wyo. -
Wyoming fans have been talking about it for months, and now the week has arrived for the biggest home game in Wyoming Football history as the Wyoming Cowboys host the No. 2 ranked Texas Longhorns on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Saturday's game is sold out. There are no tickets remaining for sale. Due to the sellout crowd, fans are encouraged to arrive earlier on Saturday to find parking, avoid lines as they enter War Memorial Stadium and enjoy what will be one of the great sporting events in Wyoming history. Saturday's game will kick off at 1:30 p.m., Mountain Time.
Additional free parking has been made available for Saturday's game. There will be free parking two blocks northeast of War Memorial Stadium directly north of the Laramie softball complex off of 22nd Street and Harney. As with every Wyoming home game, there is also free parking in the parking lot one block east of the stadium on Willett Drive near the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Fans planning to park in the free parking areas are encouraged to access that parking by taking 30th Street north of Grand Avenue to avoid congestion near the stadium.
All lots surrounding the stadium are permit parking lots and open at 8 a.m.. Only individuals with parking permits will be allowed in those lots. People who would like to purchase Brown Lot parking passes may contact the Cowboy Joe Club at (307) 766-6242. The Brown Lot is located directly north or War Memorial Stadium across Willett Drive. A Brown Lot parking pass can be purchased for a minimum donation of $100. That $100 will not only provide a Brown parking pass for the entire football and men's basketball seasons but will also grant the individual purchaser a Cowboy Joe Club membership. There will be limited Brown Lot passes available for sale on game day at the UW Athletics Ticket Office in the Arena-Auditorium, but fans are encouraged not to wait until Saturday to make their purchase.
Any Cowboy Joe Club members with existing parking passes who are planning on bringing RVs or trailers to Saturday's game must have a special RV parking pass. If you do not have a special pass for your RV or trailer, you must contact the Cowboy Joe Club prior to Friday, Sept. 11 at 5:00 p.m. at (307) 766-6242.
Additional bleacher seating has been added to War Memorial Stadium in both the north and south end-zones for the Texas game. Specific tickets have been sold for those bleacher sections, only fans with tickets to those specific sections will be allowed to sit in the end-zone seating. Due to the end-zone seating for the Texas game, fans will not be allowed to stand along the north and south fences as has been permitted in the past. Security will allow fans to cross in front of the north and south seating during breaks in the game action. Fans may also cross behind the bleacher seating.
Because of the overwhelming support shown by students, the student-seating section will be filled to capacity. Students are asked to understand the space constraints and are encouraged to work cooperatively together to assure everyone has an enjoyable experience. Students are reminded that for the Texas game they must bring both their game ticket and their student I.D. to gain admittance to the stadium. Student tickets were made available for pickup from Aug. 24 through Sept. 5.
Americans With Disability Act (ADA) seating is available for fans on both the east and west sides of the stadium. Fans who have purchased tickets but need to exchange them for ADA seating may do so at the Main Athletics Ticket Office on the west side of the Arena-Auditorium, at the ticket booth in Warburton Plaza near the Indoor Practice Facility and at the South Fieldhouse ticket windows.
Will Call locations are as follows: main Will Call is at the UW Athletics Ticket Office in the Arena-Auditorium, Wyoming Player Pass is at Gate 7 at the northeast corner of War Memorial Stadium and Visiting Team Player Pass is at Gate 2 on the south end of the stadium.
No scalping of tickets is allowed on University of Wyoming property.
Items that are not allowed in the stadium include: no food or drink, no alcohol, no coolers, no pets, no strollers (unless they fit under the seat), no noisemakers, laser pointers, signs or flags on sticks or poles.
In an effort to increase security and fan enjoyment, the university has instituted a text-messaging system at all home football games this season. To access the system, simply text WYO followed by your message and location to 78247.
