Cowboys and Falcons Meet for the 42nd Time on the Gridiron

The Wyoming Cowboys and Air Force Falcons open 2003 Mountain West Conference play this weekend when they meet in a noon game at Air Force's Falcon Stadium. The game will be televised by SportsWest TV, and will be carried in the state of Wyoming by KTWO-TV of Casper, Wyo. The game will also be carried on the 24-station Cowboy Sports Network. The radio broadcast begins one hour prior to game time with the pregame show.

Wyoming brings a 1-2 season record into the game. Air Force is 3-0 on this season. The two teams will be meeting for the 42nd time. Air Force holds a slim advantage in the series, having won 20 games. The Cowboys have won 18, and there have been three ties.

A year ago, Wyoming upset the Falcons in Laramie by a score of 34-26. Air Force was ranked No. 19 in the country when the Pokes pulled the upset.
