Student-Athlete of the Week

Sept. 22, 2011

Laramie, Wyo. -

Athlete of the Week

Josh Biezuns

Out of the three different positions you have played here, which one has been your favorite? Why?
I would have to say I liked playing fullback the most because you are always at the point of attack on every play. At the same time playing defensive end is a lot of fun and it is where I have been most productive.

Being a senior, you have traveled to many different stadiums, which has been your favorite?
My favorite stadium that I have played in would have to be in Knoxville, Tennessee when we played the Volunteers. It was an eye opening experience and it didn't hurt that we beat them as well.

Other than Wyoming, who is your favorite college football team? Who is your favorite NFL team?
I don't really have a favorite college team besides Wyoming but I do love college sports. My favorite NFL team would have to be the Minnesota Vikings...can you say Super Bowl?!

What is your favorite and least favorite practice drill?
I don't know if I have a favorite drill in practice, maybe stretching. My least favorite drill would be our spar period where the #1 defense has to go 11 straight plays against the offense.

What is your favorite TV show?
I have a lot of favorite TV shows but the one I am watching right now is "Weeds" on Showtime.

Do you prefer Xbox or PlayStation?
PS3 all the way.

What made you choose Sociology as your major?
I took Intro to Sociology my freshman year and liked the wide range of material you cover in Sociology.

Who is your favorite SportsCenter anchor?
Neil Everett.

Out of all the new uniform combinations, which is your favorite?
My favorite home uniform would have to be brown pants and brown helmet with our gold jerseys. As far as away I like all white.

What are your three most frequently visited websites?
I am on Facebook quite a bit, and then I have to keep up with my sports teams so I go on to check the scores but that's about it.

If you had the chance to play any other sport besides football at the professional level, what would it be?
I would most definitely play hockey at the next level. I grew up in Minnesota and played it ever since I was young and still do play quite a bit when I have time.

If you were stranded on an island with one of your teammates, who would you want it to be? Why?
That's a tough one. I would have to say John Hutchins so I could continue to beat him in everything.

If you could play any other position in football that you never have, what would it be?
That's easy, quarterback.

After college, are you interested in staying involved with football in any way?
Yes I am. I would like to play at the next level if that opportunity presents itself but if not I would like to start coaching at any level.
