The University of Wyoming Cowboys will make their first-ever trip to Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, Sept. 27 to take on the Boise State Broncos. It is only the second meeting between the two schools in football. A year ago, the Broncos defeated the Cowboys by a score of 35-13 in Laramie, Wyo.
Wyoming brings a record of 1-3, 0-1 in the Mountain West Conference into Saturday's contest. Boise State is 2-1, 0-0 in the Western Athletic Conference. Boise had a 13-game winning streak broken last week when they lost at Oregon State by a score of 26-24.
Two of the nation's top quarterbacks will be featured in this week's meeting. Wyoming's Casey Bramlet is ranked No. 12 in the nation in total offense, averaging 301.0 yards per game. His counterpart, Boise's Ryan Dinwiddie, ranks No. 34. Dinwiddie is averaging 240.3 yards of total offense per game.
As a team, the Cowboys rank No. 13 in the NCAA in passing offense (308.8 yards per game) and No. 52 in total offense (402.0 yards per game). Boise State ranks No. 25 in passing offense (275.7 yards per game), and No. 12 in total offense (465.33 yards per game).
The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. from Boise State's Bronco Stadium. No television coverage will be available in the state of Wyoming. Radio coverage on the 25-station Cowboy Sports Network will begin at 5 p.m.
