LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The University of Wyoming Athletics Department has announced an addition to its handicapped parking for home football games, and has made a change in shuttle service for fans utilizing handicapped parking. The changes are being made to accommodate the largest number of fans with handicapped parking needs and improve the frequency of shuttle service for handicapped parking.
The new handicapped parking area has been designated at 20th and Garfield Streets, located one block south of Grand Avenue between the former Laramie Athletic Club and the UW Office Annex (formerly the Farm Bureau Insurance building). A shuttle bus will run from the new lot both pregame and postgame. The shuttle bus will drop fans off at Gate 1 on the southwest corner of War Memorial Stadium pregame, and will pick fans up at the same location postgame.
This new shuttle service replaces the former shuttle service from the HC Lot, located on the north side of Grand Avenue west of the Tailgate Park area at 19th Street. Beginning with this Saturday's New Mexico game there will no longer be shuttle service from the HC Lot.
Moving of the shuttle service to the new lot will allow more frequent pick-up and drop-off service.
A parking attendant will be located at the entrance of the new lot at 20th and Garfield to assist patrons. The new lot will open at 9:00 a.m. Any car displaying an international blue handicapped parking permit will be admitted for handicapped parking at no charge.
As with all other handicapped parking, space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and spots are limited.
