The University of Wyoming Cowboys (2-4, 0-1 in the Mountain West Conference) and Brigham Young University Cougars (3-4, 2-2 in the MWC) will meet for the 70th time when they kick off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Wyoming boasts one of the most productive offenses in the country. The Pokes lead the Mountain West in passing offense and rank 20th in the NCAA, averaging 286.3 yards per game through the air. UW ranks 55th in the nation in total offense, averaging 385.8 yards per outing. The Cougars will bring one of the top defensive teams in the MWC to Laramie. BYU ranks second in total defense in the league and 28th in the country, giving up only 318.1 yards per game.
Wyoming has won 16 of 32 meetings against BYU in Laramie. The Cougars have recorded 13 wins in Laramie, and there have been three ties. BYU leads the overall series by eight games, 37-29-3.
Saturday's game will be televised by SportsWest TV. The SportsWest affiliate in the state of Wyoming is KTWO-TV of Casper, Wyo. KTWO-TV will telecast the game on a tape-delay basis, beginning at 6 p.m.
