The Wyoming Cowboys (4-5, 2-2 in the Mountain West Conference) will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah this Saturday to face the Utah Utes (7-2, 4-1 in the MWC) in a game that will play a big role in determining the 2003 Mountain West Conference championship. Wyoming will enter Saturday's game versus Utah, looking to win its fourth game in its last five outings. Utah will be looking to lock up at least a share of the 2003 conference championship with a win.
The Cowboys are currently in fourth place in the conference standings with a 2-2 conference mark. Utah sits atop the MWC standings at 4-1. In between the Pokes and Utes are Air Force and New Mexico tied for second with 3-2 conference records. The Falcons and Lobos play each other on Saturday in Albuquerque.
Wyoming needs two wins in it's last three games to become bowl eligible.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m., Mountain time. It will be televised by KJZZ-TV of Salt Lake City. The KJZZ telecast will also be carried live in the state of Wyoming by KTWO-TV of Casper, Wyo.
