LARAMIE, Wyo. - University of Wyoming freshman running back Robert Herron, who was taken off the field on a stretcher near the end of the Wyoming-UNLV football game in Las Vegas on Saturday night, was released from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Herron had been kept over night for observation and tests after suffering a concussion from being tackled late in Saturday night's game. It has been determined that Herron suffered a concussion but no other injuries.
He was cleared to travel and will be flying back to Laramie, Wyo., on Sunday with University of Wyoming team doctor Kent Kleppinger, M.D. and UW head athletics trainer Bob Waller.
