LARAMIE, Wyo. - The MAACO Bowl Las Vegas announced its four candidates for the Mountain West Player of the Week Award for games played ending on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Wyoming quarterback Brett Smith and defensive end Eddie Yarbrough were both among the nominees. This is the fourth time this season that Smith has been a candidate for the award. He won the honor on Sept. 12 for his performance vs. Toledo, and was also one of four candidates the week following his performances against Idaho and New Mexico. It is the first time in Yarbrough's career that he has been named a candidate.
This week's other two candidates for the Mountain West are: Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo and Boise State running back D.J. Harper.
All voting is done by fans through the official MAACO Bowl Las Vegas Facebook page, which can be found here. Voting will remain open until 1 p.m., Mountain Time on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
