The University of Wyoming men's golf team turned in a score of 291 (+3) during Sunday's final round of Gene Miranda Falcon Invite. The Cowboys finished the tournament on the Eisenhower Golf Club - Blue Course with a score of 885 (+21) tying for 11th-place with Weber State. The Cowboys were led by sophomore Ryan Wallen, who carded a third round of 75 (+3).

"I was proud that we moved up in this group of 16 fielded teams," said UW head coach Joe Jensen. "We hung in there and I feel positive that we will get better as we are still working out nerves. We have some things to work on but just need to get the experience in for the younger guys."

Wallen led the Cowboys, as he shot 75 (+3) in the final round and finished the tournament with a score of 220 (+4) tying for 32nd place. Freshmen Drew McCullough and Glenn Workman tied for 38th place at 221 (+5). McCullough finished with a 69 (-3) and Workman shot a 76 (+4) for their final rounds. Freshman Quintin Pope tied for 54th place and carded a 71 (-1) finishing 225 (+9). Junior Kamrin Allen tied for 83rd place with 239 (+23).

Senior Cameron Lindell, golfing as an individual, carded a 76 (+4) tying for 54th place with a final tally of 225 (+9). Freshman Arron Lickteig, golfing as an individual, finished in 80th place tallying a final score of 235 (+5).

University Nevada, Las Vegas won the team title as it finished the tournament with a score of 838 (-26). UNLV's sophomore Taylor Montgomery won the individual title with a score of 206 (-10) for the tournament, as he won the event by one stroke.

Wyoming will return to action Monday Sept. 15 and Tuesday Sept. 16 at the Ram Masters Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo.
